What can I do to make my hair not so frizzy? I shampoo it and I don't use conditioner (because I'm a guy). But after my hair dries it is really out of control. I dyed my hair before and liked that thick healthy feeling it had. It also felt more controlable being dyed. But I don't want to dye it again. Any suggestions? Hot oil treatment? conditioner? And what type?

Use the VO5 Moisturizing Hot Oil Treatment. It's less than $5. Just follow the instructions. Use it while you take a shower or bath. It should help moisturize your hair. Use a conditioner each time you shampoo as well.

what does being a guy have to do with healthy hair. does that mean you don't wipe yourself after you use the toilet. and if you're such a guy, why are you asking for help? Use a conditioner, in fact you might try washing less often. and if no gells work well enough, try a little baby oil in your hair right after washing it.

This is a bit pricey - but incredibly worth it. It is called Ojon (which is a solid oil that melts in your hands) You can use it as a treatment (wear for 30 minutes) but for guys - can use it as a styling aid. I'll include the websites where you can get it and see for yourself :) goodluck!

A good way to keep hair healthy and moisturized is to use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner every time you wash your hair (pantene pro-v's moisturing hair products are gooooood) and once a month use a hot oil treatment....healthy, shiney hair, and it should stay the way. ( :

you can use eggs, beer, hot oil, conditoner, all kinds of stuff.....the best is hot oil...it worked for me...sorry I dont remember what it was called tho...just go to a salon and ask them what treatment they think is best...they might even be able to hook you up with some extra strength conditioner or somethin.

I usually only wash my dyed hair every other day with shampoo, but condition every day with Thermasilk by Helene Curtis. I also use the spray on conditioner (don't rinse out) by Thermasilk for an extra boost of conditioning on those really dry wild bad hair days! Thermasilk also makes a gel that is non drying. The good thing about Thermasilk is that you can blow dry and style your hair without it getting to dried out and frizzy. I personally don't like any type of oily products in my dyed hair.

If you can swing it,see your stylist and ask for a clear color gloss(Redken Shades EQ is a good one). This will fill in any holes your hair has and the added weight of the gloss will keep the fly-aways under control. It will also add shine and make it appear healthier. Because this is a color(even if it is clear) you need to use a color care shampoo and conditioner. Style with a silicone product such as Paul Mitchell gloss drops. If added wet this will act in the same way as the clear gloss(filling holes ect.) if applied dry it will help with manageability and shine. Note- Avoid using to much product(especially when dry)you could end up looking like a grease ball. good luck!!!

I would get a conditioner to use that you don't wash out, a spray-on type (Pantene has a great one). Always go for products that say "for dry or normal to dry hair." Also, if you put any gel or mousse products in your hair watch the alcohol content in them as that will make your hair very dry. Let it dry naturally and when you are styling it try to fuss with it as little as possible because the more you fuss with it the frizzier it will get.
